Why Is It Happening?
This problem is typically caused by a cabling issue between the receiver and the portable dish or an error in the receiver.
How Do I Fix It?
Resolve this issue by completing all the steps below.
Are you using a compatible DISH receiver?
The Tailgater and Pathway X2 portable dishes are only compatible with DISH receiver models Wally, 211z, 211k, and 211.
Check Receiver-to-Portable Dish connections
Ensure coax cable connections are hand-tight at the back of the DISH receiver and at the portable dish. If there are additional connections in-between (for example: at the wall of an RV) ensure they are tight as well.
Reset your DISH receiver
Unplug the power cord of your DISH receiver (may have a red tag) from the electrical outlet for 10 seconds, then plug it back in.
The reset process may take up to 5 minutes to complete.
