Enable

  1. Quickly press and release the switch-hook or flash key to put the first call on hold and answer the second call
     
  2. Press the switch-hook again to switch between callers
     
  3. To remove one party, simply hang up
     

Temporarily Disable

  1. Press *70 and listen for three brief tones, then a regular dial tone. Rotary dial telephones will need to dial 11 in place of the * key. For example *69 is 1169 on rotary phones.
     
  2. Dial the phone number you wish to call
     
  3. Call Waiting will be restored once the call has been disconnected
     

Temporarily disable with a Call in Progress

  1. Press and release the switch-hook or flash key to put the call on hold
     
  2. Listen for three brief tones and a normal dial tone, then press *70. Rotary dial telephones will need to dial 11 in place of the * key. For example *69 is 1169 on rotary phones.
     
  3. Press and release the switch-hook again to continue the original call with no Call Waiting interruptions
     
  4. Call Waiting will be restored once the call has been disconnected
