Program Remote to TV or Other Device

20.0, 20.1, 21.0, 21.1 Remotes

  1. While at the device location, point the remote at the device. Press and hold the device button on the remote until all four mode buttons light up.

    Use the TV button if programming to a TV. Use the AUX or DVD buttons if programming to any other device type.

  2. Enter the three-digit remote control code. The mode button you selected will light up.

    If you are programming a code into AUX Mode, you must do the following before entering the device code:
    • Press 0 for a TV (if TV code is 500, enter 0500)
    • Press 1 for a VCR/DVD (if DVD code is 617, enter 1617)
    • Press 2 for any other device (if device code is 639, enter 2639)
  3. Press the POUND (#) button

    The mode button you are programming will flash three times
  4. Press the POWER button

    The device will turn off

40.0 Remote

  1. Press the MENU button

  2. Select Settings
    Settings menu option (use the remote to move through the grid of menu options)
  3. Select Remote Control
    Remote Control menu option (use the remote to move through the grid of menu options)
  4. Arrow to and select the device code you want to learn
    List of available devices (use the remote to move up and down through the list of options)
  5. Select the appropriate Pairing Wizard for the device
    Pairing Wizard, Teach Commands, or Enter Code (use the remote to move up and down through the list of options)
  6. Arrow to and select the brand of the device
    List of device brands (use the remote to move up and down through the list of options)
  7. Select Next
    Next button (arrow right to select it)
  8. Press the VOLUME UP button to test the remote (if other than TV, press power button)

  9. If the remote works, select Finished

  10. If the remote does not work, select Try Next Code
    Try Next Code button (scroll left or right to select it)
  11. Repeat steps 8-10 until a working code is found

50.0/52.0/54.0 Remote

  1. Press the HOME button twice

  2. Select Settings

  3. Select Remote Control

  4. Arrow to and select the device code you want to learn

  5. Select the appropriate Pairing Wizard for the device

  7. Select Next

  8. Press the VOLUME UP button to test the remote (if other than TV, press power button)

  9. If the remote works, select Finished
