54 Series Remote Control

Hi, I’m Nadine.

DISH’s voice remote was designed to simplify your TV experience with your Hopper or Joey receiver. Let’s go over a few features that will allow you to get the most of your DISH service.

Voice control is one of my favorite features of this remote. That’s because all I have to do is speak a voice command to do pretty much anything I want with my receiver.

To use voice control, press and hold the voice button. If this is the first time you’re using voice control, follow the onscreen prompts to enable the feature, and then press the voice button again.

If you want to find something, say a show or movie title, actor, or sports team, and then release the voice button. Your receiver will take you to the content directly or display a list of results – simply choose the one you want!

You can also use voice commands to quickly jump to favorite parts of your receiver. For example, if you have a Hopper 3 or Hopper with Sling, just say “Open Netflix” to open the Netflix app or “YouTube” to open the YouTube app. Or say “Go to On Demand” to find great movies and shows.

Or you can say a specific channel like “ESPN” or “Hallmark” to be taken directly to that channel.

Since the Google Assistant is built-in, you can also use voice commands to find the weather or traffic in your area. Manage tasks like adding appointments to your calendar or items to your shopping list. Or get information on an actor, the score of the game, recipes, and more. You can even turn on the smart-home devices like your living room lights.

Press and hold the Back button to get back to live TV from any menu. Or press and hold the Info button to get help on any screen.

Another handy feature of the remote are these diamond buttons at the bottom, as they let you perform shortcuts in just a click. Press and hold the diamond button, and choose what you want to do with it from the list onscreen.

You can turn closed captioning on and off, launch Netflix, turn on Picture-in-Picture, and more.

Finally, if you ever lose the remote, you can easily find it by pressing the Locate Remote button on the front of your receiver. Just follow the beeping sound to find it!

Just a friendly reminder that your receiver needs to be connected to the internet to enjoy voice control. For a full list of commands, visit dishvoiceremote.com.

Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you next time!
