Connect Your Receiver to a Bluetooth Soundbar or Headphones

Hopper receivers include Bluetooth functionality to let you listen through Bluetooth audio devices like sound bars or headphones.

Select Your Remote Type

Please select your remote to view remote-specific support steps.

Choose your user interface:

User Interface with accessibility features including text to speech
User Interface with limited accessibility features, not including text to speech

40.0 Remote

  1. Press the MENU button
    menu button on the 40.0 remote
  2. Select Settings

  3. Select Bluetooth
    grid of settings options
  4. Turn on your Bluetooth headphones or speakers and make sure they are ready for pairing
  5. Select Find Devices

  6. The Attention 1223 pop-up will display. It may take up to one minute to pair.

  7. Enter the device passcode. If the device does not require a passcode, or no passcode was set, use the auto-populated 0000.

  8. Select OK

  9. The device status will change to Paired - Connected

40.0 Remote

  1. Press the MENU button

  2. Select Settings

  3. Select Bluetooth Audio

  4. Turn on your Bluetooth headphones or speakers and make sure they are ready for pairing

  5. Select Bluetooth Pairing to turn pairing On

  6. Select Find Devices

  7. The Attention 1223 pop-up will display. It may take up to one minute to pair.
