Record Content

Learn how to record content from Live TV, the Guide, and more.

Hi, I’m Megan. I’m sure one of the reasons you got your Hopper is because it provides conflict-free TV with 500 HD hours of recording space. Let me show you how to start using that space by recording all your favorite shows.

It’s simple. If you have a voice-activated remote, simply press the microphone button and speak the show you want. You can also press the Options button to perform a text search.

If you don’t have a voice-activated remote, press the Search button on your remote instead.

The most popular searches will automatically populate on the right. If you don’t see what you want listed, using your remote, select the letters of the show you want to record on the keypad.

As soon as you enter a letter, results will start filtering. Once you see your show, enter the number that displays next to it on your remote’s number pad to select it. Or you can use the arrow buttons on your remote to scroll over and select it.

Select the record option along the lower left.

Your Hopper will default to recording new episodes and reruns.

To change this, press the Select button on your remote and choose a recording option from the dropdown.

On this screen, you can also edit when you want the recording to start and end, how many recordings to keep, and more.

Once you’ve made all of your selections, you’re done! Your recording is set!

Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you next time.
