Connect Your Receiver to the Internet

Connecting your receiver to the internet gets you instant access to thousands of TV episodes and movies On Demand, mobile viewing using DISH Anywhere, and popular apps like Netflix.

You can always connect an Ethernet cable from your modem or router directly to your receiver to gain access to the internet, or follow one of the flows below to connect via Wi-Fi.

Hi, I’m Ryan. To enjoy Video On Demand, Netflix, and other apps on your DISH Hopper, your receiver has to be connected to the internet.

There are two easy ways to make a connection.

The first is by connecting an Ethernet cable from your router to your Hopper.

The second way is to connect your Hopper to your home Wi-Fi.

To do this, from your Hopper’s Menu, select the Settings tile and then the Internet tile.

Select “Wireless Setup,” and then “Wi-Fi Setup Wizard.”

Follow the onscreen prompts to choose your network and enter your network password to establish a connection.

Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you next time.
