Browsing the Internet with Google TV
Browsing with the Quick Search Bar
- Select the SEARCH key on the keyboard to access the Quick Search Bar.
- Type in the URL of the webpage you want to access, then press OK.
Browsing with Google Chrome
- Select the HOME key on the keyboard to access Google TV Home.
- Select Applications, then Chrome to launch the Google homepage for Chrome browser.
Searching with Google TV
With integrated search functionality, Google TV will search the DISH receiver's program guide, DVR events and On-Demand events in addition to the Internet.
- Select the SEARCH key on the keyboard to access the Quick Search Bar.
- Enter the keyword(s) to generate Search results; the Quick Search Bar will begin to auto-populate content based on your input.
- Select the Search results that best fit your request.
Based on the Search results, Google TV will either tune to the DISH channel select, initiate a DISH DVR timer creation or direct you to an Internet page.
To modify search criteria, select HOME on the keyboard. Select Applications, Settings, Search then Searchable items.
Using Google TV Home
- Select the HOME key on the keyboard to access Google TV Home
Use the keyboard navigation keys to move around Google TV Home and use OK to select the on-screen options
Bookmarks
Internet sites and DISH Network channels that have been bookmarked.
Applications
Applications available to Google TV, including Settings.
Spotlight
Applications available to Google TV.
Most Visited
Thumbnails of most visited applications, channels and websites.
Queue
Podcasts queue from Google and DISH DVR content.
What’s On
Available DISH programming.
Amazon
Content based on top movies and tv, new releases and moves for purchase.
DISH Cinema
Available DISH VOD content.
