Appointment Reminders

The Appointment Reminders program provides text message appointment reminders to DISH customers. You must opt in to receive text notifications online at mydish.com/mypreferences.

Messages

You will receive up to four text message reminders prior to your scheduled DISH appointment.

  1. The day before as a reminder of your appointment
  2. The morning of to provide an estimated 1 hour arrival time
  3. One hour before the estimated arrival time to let you know we are on our way
  4. If your estimated arrival time changes significantly

Message frequency varies by account.

How to Opt In

To receive text notifications, you must first opt in at mydish.com/mypreferences. Check the box next to the cell phone where you would like to receive text notifications, agree to the terms and conditions and click Submit.

Once you opt in on the website, you will receive a text message from DISH1 (34741) on your cell phone. Respond with the keyword APPT to confirm your acceptance of the program. Future text messages will not be sent until this response is received.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out at any time by responding with the keyword STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to DISH1 (34741) or by updating your text notification preferences at  mydish.com/mypreferences.

To get help, text the keyword HELP to DISH1 (34741). You can also click here to chat with a live customer service agent or call 800-333-DISH (800-333-3474).

Complimentary Service

Although the Appointment Reminders program is complimentary, message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier plan. See your wireless plan or contact your carrier for details.

Supported Carriers

Alltel, AT&T, Boost Mobile, Cellular One, Metro PCS, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon Wireless, and Virgin Mobile.

We will only transmit your text messages with the information you provide. Nonetheless, we reserve the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or governmental request, to avoid liability, to protect our rights or property, or to accurately report donations for an SMS Giving program.

When you complete forms online or otherwise provide companies like us information in connection with the Service, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and true information. You agree not to use a false or misleading name or a name that you are not authorized to use. If we, in our sole discretion, believe that any such information is untrue, inaccurate, or incomplete, we may refuse you access to the Service and pursue any appropriate legal remedies.

We maintain and process your messages to provide the Service to you and to improve the Service. Our computers may process the information in your messages for various purposes, including formatting and displaying the information to you, preventing unsolicited bulk messages (spam), backing up messages, and other purposes relating to offering you the Service.
