The Order PPV Events program allows DISH customers to order PPV events by texting a unique keyword (ex. “UFC163”) to DISH1 (34741). This keyword is specific to each event and can be found in the marketing emails sent for applicable events (visit to opt into marketing emails). You do not need to opt into this program, but you must make sure that the cell phone you will be using to text DISH1 (34741) is listed on your DISH account. This can be verified at


Upon texting the unique keyword to DISH1 (34741), you will receive a text message asking you to reply with HD to order the event in HD or SD to order the event in SD. Customers without HD programming and/or equipment will only be able to order in SD.

Replying HD/SD will return a text message asking you if you would like to bill the cost of the event to your account or pay for it using your last form of payment on file. You must reply BILL to bill to your account or CARD or BANK (whichever applies) to use your last form of payment. If only one payment method is available to you, only that one will be returned as an option and you will not be prompted to reply with BILL, CARD or BANK.

Once you have selected your preferred payment method, you will be asked to confirm your payment by replying CONFIRM. This will return a successful purchase message that includes the date, time and channel number of the event.


The Order PPV Events program is only available to residential DISH customers who are billed directly by DISH for TV services. Not all events will be available to order via SMS.
