We encourage you to always connect your receiver to your phone service in order to:
- Keep critical receiver data current
- Access your account on your TV
- Order pay-per-view using your remote control
There are several ways to connect to phone service:
With a Phone Line Cable
With a Power Line Phone Connector
Use if your receiver is not close to a phone jack and you have a compatible receiver model (211, 211k, 222, 222k, 622, 722, 722k, and 922). To determine if you have a compatible receiver, check the model name on the front of your receiver or go to dish.com/myequipment. The Power Line Phone Connector allows multiple receivers to connect to a phone service through the power cords of your receivers and the electrical wiring in your home. Visit mydish.com/orderfromstore to purchase a Power Line Phone Connector.
With a Phonex Connector
Use if your receiver is not close to a phone jack and you do NOT have a ViP model receiver. Phonex Connectors allow one receiver to connect to a phone service through the electrical wiring in your home. Visit mydish.com/orderfromstore to purchase a Phonex Connector.
