Can't Connect to Internet

  1. Check Data Usage

    Make sure that you have not reached or exceeded your monthly data allowance at mydish.com/mybroadband. If you have, you can purchase 1 GB of additional data allowance online or call 800-333-DISH (800-333-3474) to upgrade to a higher plan.

  2. Check Weather Conditions

    If there is inclement weather in your area, wait for it to pass.

  3. Reset the Components

    Reset the computer, modem and router (if applicable). Unplug the modem and router (if applicable) for 10 seconds. Then plug in the modem first and allow the Rx light to become solid before plugging in or powering on other devices.

  4. Check and Secure Modem-to-Wall Connections

    Check that the connection between your dishNET modem and the wall is configured properly and tightly secured.

  5. Check and Secure Modem-to-Computer Connections

    Check that the connection between your dishNET modem and the computer is configured properly and tightly secured.
